Regression: three dots of Hints rotate around while typing

When typing, every single instance of the three little dots indicating hints, that are visible in the code, moves one character to the left for each keystroke. Then, when you pause typing, they go back to their original position.

Additionally, if there is any syntax error anywhere (which is almost always the case while you are typing until you complete a statement), even when you pause typing, instead of going back to the correct place, they go back to some utterly random place.

It is incredibly distracting to see all these little dots dancing around throughout the screen as you type.

I'm pretty sure this is a regression; I couldn't possibly have gone this long without noticing.

It's not just the three dots, it's all sorts of hints, for example type hints of function arguments and return types. They all do the same thing: while you type, they move one position to the left at every key stroke, and when you pause typing, they go back to a given position which, if you haven't completed a statement and therefore have syntax errors (e.g. because you haven't yet typed the ";" at the end of the current line), is some utterly random position. Sometimes even in the middle of the word, splitting a word (e.g. method name) in half with a nonsensical hint from somewhere else.

Another thing that happens when you have syntax errors (again, even of the type you get when you are not finished writing the part of your code you're writing), is that you ctrl+click on a function call to go the definition, and it will bring you somewhere random.

Basically, when you are in the middle of writing, everything becomes utterly unusable. This is definitely a regression.

Thank you for pointing this out - you are right; VSCode asks for the hints at an inappropriate time and we need to "interpolate";

We'll see what we can do, I must be fixed for sure.

Wow, just observed a case where the hints were inserted in the middle of what I was typing, moving around the caret cursor and the characters being typed. This should become the topmost priority if it isn't already.

Sometimes the random hints, inserted at random places within the indentation spaces, displace the text making it look like the indentation is wrong, which triggers me to fix it by deleting the extra spaces, but then once the false hints go away, the text moves back and now the indentation is wrong because I broke it thinking I was fixing it.

This is an absolute catastrophe.

Found it - we introduced this bug when improving .blade.php file support.

It won't be easy to make automated unit tests, but we'll try.

Fixed for now, and ready for the next update.
