No asserts and exceptions thrown in phpunit tests show in vscode explorer

Symptom

No asserts and exceptions thrown in phpunit tests are shown in vscode explorer.

I can still debug but failing tests are not shown.

Running phpunit manually on terminal, or looking into PHP Test Explorer log after test run does not show problems - I can see the expected exceptions/asserts there.

It is reproducible with different PHP versions.

If I downgrade to 1.60.17873, everything works fine.

Extension version

PHP Tools Extension >= 1.61

Last working Extension version:

PHP Tools Extension <= 1.60

VScode Version

1.105.1

What is the version of your PHPUnit?

PHPUnit 5.7.27

@siaccarino thank you; I think we haven't tested older versions properly. Let me take a look.

A quick workaround for now is to put the test class in a namespace.

Fixed in the next update; we'll try to release pre-release version within a day.
