Upgrading

Upgrading is relatively simple.

If you've checked out a copy of the repository

  1. Perform a git pull to update your codebase.
  2. In the sql/ directory you will find subdirectories labeled by version. Each directory contains sql scripts to patch the previous version of the database up to that release. Run all scripts in each directory between your version and the current version.

If you have just a bunch of files (from an archive)

  1. Put the files in separate directory.
  2. Configure the files in the new directory (socketserver.js and application/configs/application.ini).
  3. In the sql/ directory you will find subdirectories labeled by version. Each directory contains sql scripts to patch the previous version of the database up to that release. Run all scripts in each directory between your version and the current version.
  4. Update your web server configuration to point to the new directory or move the old directory to a different location, renaming the new directory to match the name of the old directory.
