Specifying Language for Text Columns

When a column's datatype is set to "Text" on the Column Definitions tab, it is possible to specify a language for the text in that column on the Advanced tab. The langauge is specified using a BCP-47 language tag. This is typically either a two-letter or three-letter language code (e.g. en, fr, nso), but it may also include a two-letter country code (e.g. fr-CA, en-US) or even information about dialect or script. For more information please refer to the IETF specification However we strongly recommend that you keep things simple. If the language in the column is French, fr is almost alway sufficient as a language tag.
NOTE: Yes this means that you can tag a column as containing Klingon!
