I've just tried this in IE8 with the following code to initialise a scrolling table in a hidden element:

        $(document).ready(function() {
            $('#demo').css('display', 'none' );
            $('#example').dataTable( {
                "sScrollY": "200px",
                "bPaginate": false,
                "bScrollCollapse": true
            } );
            $('#demo').css('display', 'block' );

But IE works just the same as other browsers - i.e. the draws, but the columns are out of alignment (needs fnAdjustColumnSizing).

Can you give me a test case showing me how I can reproduce this issue please?

No feedback on this issue, so going to close. Need a test case showing the problem so I can create a unit test that will test and confirm that the fix is passing (for now and ever more!).
