Specifically:

  • Name of machine (eg. Gerald)
  • Photo
  • Make and model number
  • Ensure there's a Tool label in somebody-should
  • Ensure there's a wiki page for it
  • Ensure all info about machine is linked from the wiki page

This task is to ensure that every machine is properly documented, and issue tracked ( #487 ). Images will later be used to promote the machine on the website ( #480 ).

Call for help also posted to google group.

Anyone know what the following machines are, what they do, and what they are called (pet name)?

Startrite 301 S = also a bandsaw, but doesn't seem to be a wiki page for it

Slowly working through machine wiki pages to standardise format, add pics, links to manuals, maintenance infos, etc. Each will need a few more iterations as the template is changing as things develop:

Some more pages updated:

I have no idea what make or model the heat press is - anyone know?

Lists in this comment might be incomplete

Machines with no wiki pages and/or issue tags (I'll sort these):

  • Startrite 301 S - no wiki
  • Pillar drill - no issue tag
  • MakerBot CupCake - no issue tag
  • Strip heater - no issue tag
  • Electronics Equipment - no issue tags

Wiki pages which seem to have gone horribly wrong:

Machines with no nicknames (community should decide these?):

It would be nice to track everything via nickname (labels, wiki pages, status screens, accident logs, etc).

Another page updated: https://github.com/DoESLiverpool/wiki/wiki/LaserCutterSophia

The how to use section is sparse, most of the detailed info remains in https://github.com/DoESLiverpool/wiki/wiki/UserGuideSophia

Not sure if it's worth creating a concise bullet list version of that on the main Sophia page or not?

Another page done - quite a bit of info missing, could use some TLC: https://github.com/DoESLiverpool/wiki/wiki/MakerbotCupCake

Will do Gerald and RepRap next.

@aubergine10 did some fantastic work on this, but I think there is still a way to go. Would anyone like to pick up the baton and complete some more machines?
