Commission small vinyl/cardboard cutter #920
This is a small A4 cutter that I bought a few years ago (there weren't as many maker nights ithen, and I intended to use it for prototyping). I believe there's a manual on the internet and that all the pieces are present.
It was in a plastic bag by Matt's desk. It uses proprietary (but free) software (easy to find online). Easy to import svgs. I remember having issues with the size of the cut changing to fit the sheet, so drew large rectangle round the design so it stayed the same size. Hopefully this had been rectified in more recent versions. Lots easier to use for smaller pieces of vinyl, but I kept breaking blades (which are relatively expensive). Likely to be in this evening so can help then if necessary. There's someone coming in tomorrow to do some vinyl cutting and he might look at getting this commissioned as part of that (as it might be a better size for the stuff he wants to cut). I had a quick look but couldn't spot it... — You are receiving this because you authored the thread.
