Daryl Yeo's Dot Files

These are config files to set up a system just the way I like it.

Special credit to ryanb for sharing his dotfiles.

Installation

Make sure your GitHub SSH Keys are all set up in the case of a new machine.

Run the following commands in your terminal. It will prompt you before it does anything destructive. Check out the Rakefile to see exactly what it does.

git clone git://github.com/jianxioy/dotfiles ~/.dotfiles
cd ~/.dotfiles
rake install

Then set up Vundle:

$ git clone https://github.com/gmarik/Vundle.vim.git ~/.dotfiles/vim/bundle/Vundle.vim

Run vim +PluginInstall! +qall in command line to install vim plugins.

You might have to install rbenv, setup your JVM settings and create a secrets.sh (you can remove this if you wish).

After installing, open a new terminal window to see the effects.

Feel free to customize the .zshrc file to match your preference.

Uninstallation

To remove the dotfile configs, run the following commands. Be certain to double check the contents of the files before removing so you don't lose custom settings.

rake uninstall

Then open a new terminal window to see the effects.
