Pack updates:

  • Voice pack 23 has been created - now incorporates voice support for the Surveyor Discoveries panel. When the panel notices something,

NOTE!

EDSM site has broken the download (on many days, not all) of the initial system map. It is returning an empty file. This breaks downloading of new fresh EDSM Star map. It does not break the delta update if you already have a EDSM Star database.

We Recommend using Spansh as the star map. It has more systems, and is more actively maintained.

New Features!

  • Inara - during mission complete, make sure materials and commodities rewards are upload.
  • Inara - At the start of the game, upload microresources count so Inara has the latest values.
  • Type 8 has values fixed for engineering
  • Mandalay has values fixed for engineering
  • Cobra Mk V added - engineering values may not be right
  • More and more and more modules
  • When in Multicrew, don't add ships mentioned to ship yard lists to prevent other peoples ships being listed

18.1.4 Fixes:

  • Translation fixes
  • Yet more and more vanity modules added
  • Turkish was showing that some uses of ToLower() were causing problems - changed to Invariant lower to cope with decoding lots of frontier enumerations
  • A bad journal from a user showed we needed more defense against Frontiers Journal output to prevent spurious bodies being added to the star scan database and showing in the scan display
  • Combat panel journal type filtering on new entries now works

18.1.3 Fixes:

  • Fixes to translations in German and Spanish
  • Impose material limit on materials collected to correct the journals incorrect saying that you have collected 3 but you've hit the material limit
  • Fix estimated values zero button functionality so it does what it should do
  • Fix name of Research Notes item
  • Fix issue with LoadGame and ships being created incorrectly when LoadGame lacks the Ship that your in
  • Ensure surveyor can cope with a situation where there is incorrectly two bodies in the system with the same name (Journal error?)
  • Fix localise time/date issue with travelhistory time filtering. The conversion between UTC->Local time was borked
  • Many more modules
  • Webserver make the inara system button work again, remove EDDB
  • Fix issue trying to mark multiple rows and the code crashing in travel history

  • Defend against a star without radius/temp and a crash due to it when presenting habzone data
  • Fix crash situation in scangrid when operating with an empty ish DB (v.rare)
  • Fix some numbers so they are localised with the delimiter set by the OS!

EDDiscovery 18.0.9 Engineering and upgraded Ships/Loadout panel, SCO drives, Python MkII

Pack updates:

    This voice pack allows you to configure different voice effects for your co-pilot voice and for your NPC voices. Menu options in Add-Ons menu allow you to set up Co-Pilot voice and effects, Text message Voice and effects, and NPC voices and effects.

    It also allows you to turn on automatic selection of different voices for the Text messages (from other commanders) and NPC messages.

    Use the Voice Pack Configuration menu to determine if you want different voices for Text and NPC messages.

    It also Incorporates other fixes for events and corrects some formatting used for star, planet and body names.

    Please see improved instructions on how to get more free voices for this pack here. Use the batch option at the bottom to import all compatible core voices installed on your system.

Warning:

If you're using a laptop, with a built in APU and GPU, make sure you tell the system to use the GPU for EDD. See https://www.howtogeek.com/351522/how-to-choose-which-gpu-a-game-uses-on-windows-10/ Lots of APUs appear to have buggy or incomplete openGL implementations.

We have seen issues with the Intel ARC implementation of OpenGL which stops the system working as well, as they have not implemented OpenGL 4.6 properly.

Major Features:

  • EDD has had a major replum of the systems handling modules. If it does not know about a module, or a slot, or another property, or how to engineer a module, a line in the history will be shown with "three stars message..." Please report via discord (preferably) or via github and messages as they will help us fill in information about Elite. Do not report via the forum thread. These messages are not error messages, the program will continue, but they are warning us that our knowledge is incomplete.

  • Ships and Loadouts - EDD can now engineer the modules with the blueprint modifiers given in the loadout and give you the same stats as EDSY.

    At the top is the stats on the ship, Armour, Shields, Weapons etc. For the grid, it lists the modules on the ship and shows the stats for the module in the Info Column. You can change the power priorities of the ship.

    The panel also supports loading a loadout and displaying it from EDSY (via Import button) and saving loadouts to disk for later comparisons.

    It also now supports listing all known modules.

  • Add lots stats for modules and ships.

  • Add support for new FSD SCO drive modules

  • Add support for calculating LY range of new FSD SCO drive modules

  • Add Python Mk II

  • Add translation support for module names and other station identifiers - this obv needs support from EDD users to translate these. Translations are currently not in EDD and will be added in an upcoming patch - if some native speaker provides them.

  • Spansh Station panel has been tenderly updated to ensure it works with new identifiers and to fix some minor bugs on the panel

  • 3d Map Galaxy objects - added more tourist locations, ensure merging of multiple items at the same location is nicer, and now display an object if it matches any of the types selected (improving the selection of objects in the 3D map menu)

  • Add two new events, ShipRedeem and ShipyardRedeem.

We have seen issues with the Intel ARC implementation of OpenGL which stops the system working as well, as they have not implemented OpenGL 4.6 properly.

  • Ships and Loadouts - EDD can now engineer the modules with the blueprint modifiers given in the loadout and give you the same stats as EDSY.
