Description of the problem
Using {switch} variables inside of comment:entries loops does not work - they go unparsed.

How To Reproduce
Use a {switch="foo|bar"} variables inside of a comment:entries loop.

Environment Details:

  • Version: 5.2.1

Possible Solution
Either move to using parse_variables() (which supports switch statements natively) instead of individual calls to parse_variables_row(), or add custom switch statement logic to the relevant portion of comment:entries.

Additional context
Comments in the comment:entries code explain why parse_variables_row() is being used inside of a loop (legacy extension hook).
