Undefined array key "template_engine" during No Access Redirect #4448

I have a template with access restrictions.. I have another template set to display if it tries to be accessed by a non-allowed member role.. I do this often... typically I set the "Default 404 Page". But this particulare use, I'm setting a different template and I'm getting this displayed warning.
This happens on template I specify that is not the "Default 404 Page". Even if I manually select the actual 404 page, I still get this warning. And, I'm not logged in as an admin.
