NOTE: Any issue that does not follow the below template will be immediately closed and not re-opened until the template structure is adhered to.

Pre-check

  • Do not use the issues tracker for help or support, instead try the VRTK Slack channel, Stack Overflow, etc.
  • For proposing a new feature, please check existing open and closed issues before creating a duplicate.
  • For bugs, do a quick search and make sure the bug has not yet been reported.
  • Finally, be excellent to each other, and party on!

Environment

  • Source of VRTK (Unity Asset Store or GitHub).
    Github
  • Version of VRTK (Unity Asset Store/GitHub release number) (GitHub master commit hash).
    git master commit 980cd2b
  • Version of the Unity software (e.g. Unity 2018.3).
    2018.3.9f1
  • Hardware used (e.g. Vive/Oculus).
    Oculus
  • SDK used (e.g. OpenVR/SteamVR/Oculus Utilities).
    Oculus

Steps to reproduce

In a project, open \VRTK\Prefabs\CameraRig\UnityXRCameraRig\UnityXRCameraRig.prefab and inspect the head anchor's tracked pose driver component

Do not upload custom projects with custom code to demonstrate the issue.

Expected behavior

For a head anchor:

  • the tracked pose driver should be set to track the CenterEye pose source of a Generic XR Device.

For both head and hand anchors:

  • When using the tracked pose driver in a camera rig, it is recommended to disable "Use Relative Transform."

Current behavior

The head anchor on UnityXRCameraRig.prefab has the following settings, which are not recommended:

  • Pose source: Head
The head and hand anchors on UnityXRCameraRig.prefab have the following settings, which are not recommended:
  • Use Relative Transform = true

Thanks for the heads up @jackpr-unity We'll get it switched over.

Do you think this could be causing this issue too?
#1972

I don't think so. Besides just the black screen, I'm sometimes seeing the skybox render fine, but odd black artifacts over gameobjects. It will require a bit of a dig to find out where in the pipeline that issue is happening.

Yeah that's the same thing I see too. It's only started recently though so it may be caused by an update from Oculus?
