Making an HTML5 Canvas + Node.js + WebSockets + JQuery 2D multiplayer sandbox game.

Requirements

Modules:

Installation

  1. Clone the repository with git clone git://github.com/Fabryz/wander.git wander
  2. Install dependencies with npm install -d
  3. Start the server with node server.js or nodemon server.js if you have it
  4. Point your browser to YOUR_SERVER_IP:8080
  5. Wander around

Features

  • Use the arrow keys to wander around the map, tab to see the player list
  • Lag like hell, chat and interact with other players
  • Give a look to the TODO file for current WIP stuff and future implementations
  • Suggest me how to improve it!

Play it!

On each new version I (try to) test deploy the game on my public game repo:

Give it a look and remember that it's all work in progress.

Donations

I'm developing this game after work, during the evening/night. Want to support me and donate something? Everything will go on dev books, future hosting/analytics services and barley coffee =)
