Design a logo for Jackson project

Despite Jackson project's long tenure, we do not have actual official logo or mascot.
It would be great to have a logo to use both on Jackson repos, pages, documentation and on external content when referring to Jackson usage, compatibility.

@precious-omovoiye welcome! Name would be just "Jackson", I think.

Since it looks like there are multiple contributors here, I'll have to figure out a way to allow multiple proposals, and so that everyone contributing can get a PR regardless of what gets selected.
Also need to figure out how to get community to help select best candidate -- stay tuned!

Right now I think I should probably create a dir structure for this repo to contain files, to allow merging, but need to think of details.

@precious-omovoiye First of all, apologies for slow response.

At this point I am open to all suggestions, as there is no existing style to follow, or established uses as far as I know (I have checked simple "jackson json" search via Google images).

so we'll see if others can share their ideas, opinions, suggestions.

Use cases for logo would probably mostly be for documentation (on github repo READMEs, blog posts) and references to Jackson project from external content. A set of scaled versions would be useful to help with latter; I don't know what are typical/standard sizes.
I'll see if I can get other designers/UI experts to comment here as well (I work with Open Source team at Indeed and I think there are people who could help), once I get back to work tomorrow.

Finally, one technical thing: I added a note on "README.md" to suggest that PRs that contain files (images etc) add them under design/[GITHUB-USER-ID]. I know that's further down the line but I'll mention this since it is possible there are multiple designers interested in contributing (and I want to accept all submissions wrt hacktoberfest).

@cowtowncoder I'm working on the design already, but I'm lacking some information, I'm considering sending you an online form to fill, as this will help me create more personalized designs for your brand, is that ok by you?

@precious-omovoiye that is fine, although since it is ultimately decided by community, sending to jackson-dev mailing (or jackson-users) might make even more sense. But happy to give my own views!
