May 2024 Update Just tested and this bar still works! I went ahead and updated my dotfiles to use the latest Nerd Fonts. I'm using JetBrainsMono Nerd Font, which you can get here, and you will also need I appreciate everyone who has tried my config out and all the kind comments :) My minimalist catppuccin macchiato setup! Everything from Google Chrome, Discord, Spotify, Terminal and now my bar! The empty space in the middle is where my MacBook Air's notch is, with the moon phase to the left, and the current Spotify song to the right (can be clicked to pause). The lollipop can be clicked to move to the next track. There's some padding on the sides of the bar because FaceTime adds an orange dot to the top right coner of the screen during a call. My configs can be found in my dotfiles repo https://github.com/neutonfoo/dotfiles. With the notch: Everything Catppuccin: |

My Nord themed setup. This is still very much a wip and there are some things I want to change but as it is slowly coming together I figured I would share it :-) |

I've been really digging the experimental I mostly have one app per space and this screenshot is just for the rice. Top five icons are main spaces, bottom four are open workspaces, not showing a secret tenth space where I hide my toggle terminal hehe. Icons are dimmed when there are no windows. The little dot next to the space icon is a lil indicator for a Not shown is a diy pomodoro timer that pops up under the clock on a shortcut. Apps shown are most commonly used ones: Color palette is loosely based on a the Square iTerm theme which interestingly sets a saturated magenta for normal green. Otherwise the few bright colours are reserved for highlights since I have the attention span of a kitten. Posting rc in comment... |

Trying to make the bar fit visually with MacOs. Finally managed to get yabai to do what I want + having too much fun with Arc browser:

Another Nord-Themed setup. Lots of work to do to completely switch over to Sketchybar from previous solutions, but I’m quite happy with how things are turning out! All relevant file can be found on my dotfiles repo |

This is my first ever fully lua driven config. I really think there is so much potential in using lua for the configuration of the bar, because the communication no longer happens through fork->exec->mach but only through mach messages, completely cutting out the (large) fork->exec overhead. The lua module for sketchybar is available here SbarLua. The menus on the left side can be swapped with space indicators with the small toggle (or via a shortcut by calling

was inspired by @RemyIsCool and (mostly) recreated their config because they didn't have a working link to it the overall color palette is almost default and is still a work-in-progress, but i wanted to share this as people would probably be wanting to use the amazing config that they created, so here are the dotfiles!
it supports the switching spaces & focused app title animations: Screen.Recording.2024-08-25.at.12.36.46.AM.mov |

Hello! I'm a beginner here and I would like to ask if this setup is possible for this app? If yes, could you guys help me achieve it? I'm just a high school student that's why I need a simple layout with the visual design of Mac. |

Do you still use yabai? I was using Übersicht (simple-bar) until yesterday in addition to macOS’s menu bar and now SketchyBar because Übersicht is buggy af

I am very interested in what you create with sketchybar, and would enjoy to see some of your setups. Share them below and consider linking your dotfiles, such that others can use your setup as a starting point for their configuration.
