The Finnish Society for Bioinformatics was founded in 2006 with the aim of bringing together everyone interested in bioinformatics. For almost two decades, our mission has remained the same: to support research, share the latest scientific discoveries, and provide opportunities for exchanging ideas and knowledge.
We organize regular webinars, seminars, and training sessions, share job opportunities for our members, and host networking and collaboration events. Every two years, we proudly recognize outstanding work through our Best Bioinformatics Thesis Award.
Our monthly BioEvening gatherings in Helsinki, Turku, and Tampere offer a relaxed way to meet and connect with fellow bioinformaticians.
