As discussed on firebird-devel:

There are no fallback #⁠ifdef's for COMPARE_EXCHANGE in src/common/classes/Interlock.h.

Alex:
Here we have a piece of code, ported from vulcan. As the result there are separate Interlock.h and fb_atomic.h, doing almost same things in different manner. First of all I must unify them.

Merged with fb_atomic.h.
At least in gcc case code is portable.
