Investigate the problems that are involved with a port to android, and see if using an entirely separate codebase might be a good way to get around those problems without hurting the normal Jaybird driver. Ideally a port to Android would also include support for embedded.
The current Jaybird codebase might be too entangled with JCA to make it easily portable to Android without requiring to also bring in all the JCA interfaces etc.
