Code of Conduct

The purpose of Garden City Ruby Camp is to encourage and foster the growth of the Ruby community in Bangalore by providing a quality platform for Rubyists to meet and learn from each other.

Sexual harassment will not be tolerated

Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any event venue, including talks, workshops and parties.

Be kind to others

It is okay to have different opinions and participants are welcome to share their opinions with others at the event as long as those opinions are about Ruby or other related technologies. This is not a platform for sharing views regarding gender, race, religion or other political topics that may offend other participants. It is not okay to make any participant feel unsafe by showing any form of verbal of physical aggression.

Any participant violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the event without a refund at the discretion of the event organisers.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a volunteer or event organizer immediately. Please contact any of these individuals, if the matter is especially urgent:

  • The event members or volunteers are there to help participants contact appropriate authorities, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the event. We value your attendance.
