Meeting Minutes

Mainly discussed the issues raised by the status report

Shortly discussed about the PubMed findings, giving up on the Elsevier API, and the possible usage of Springer Nature API

The conversation then shifted to some problem faces in the past. The supervisor mentioned that SIDER id could be mapped to STITCH and from there to PubChem and pointed me to a solution about the multiple SMILES problem

I then mentioned that it would be nice to find a relationship extraction library to retrieve the compound or drug from my matches so I wouldn't have to go through them manually. The supervisor then mentioned that he has some code that could help me and that he would sent it over in the following week

Finally I mentioned that my productivity is probably going to decrease in the following weeks due to coursework deadlines coming up

Action Plan

  • Keep working at Springer API
  • Fix multiple SMILES bug
  • ML tutorials
  • Look at any resources sent over by the supervisor
