I get an error while installing the plugin in eclipse 3.8.1, is this plugin only for older versions?

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.

Well, this plugin is no longer actively maintained. But have you added the Xtext software site URL to Eclipse's list of available software sites? This is explained in the installation instructions here.

thanks i missed this. But after successful installation GF doesn't appear in the perspectives or preferences. Perhaps i have to uninstall and reinstall it again?!
