Changes in version 40:

  • fix rare crash of Play services on first launch
  • stop adding Vanadium to the list of browsers allowed to use FIDO2 since it was added to the official Play services whitelist and modifying it this way breaks Google Play FIDO when Play services hasn't had network access to fetch the browser whitelist

A full list of changes from the previous release (version 39) is available through the Git commit log between the releases (only changes to the gmscompat_config text file and config-holder/ directory are part of GmsCompatConfig).

This update is available to GrapheneOS users via our app repository and will also be bundled into the next OS release.
