pygobject3 failed to build on 10.9 #26990

Hi All,

pygobject3 won't compile on Mavericks with brew python 2.7

ValueError: Attempted relative import in non-package
make[3]: *** [install-pygiPYTHON] Error 1
make[2]: *** [install-am] Error 2
make[1]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1

Try brew reinstall python and install again.

Try and delete /usr/local/lib/python2.7/site-packages/site.py and install again. Not sure what put that file there.

I guess that the file is created during install.

Sorry, i've just noticed that actually, the message slightly changed since reinstallation.

Now the site.py is located in another folder.. but still generating a similar error

There were recently some Python fixes to address; does reinstalling Python now fix things?
