brew gist-logs --config --doctor bzr Output

Everything I can think to check is running the latest version (including brew update). I can't think of anything unusual I've changed on this OS X install.

There is a similar previous issue, however it appears to be for a separate issue as it doesn't help me.

This is being caused by Xcode 5.1/Clang 3.4.

Figured this out.

  1. update homebrew

  2. install Pyrex for System Python-2.6

    sudo /usr/bin/easy_install-2.6 pyrex

Apple stopped supporting several compiler flags with clang.

The flags are being filtered now, so this should be fixed.

Confirmed.

The last point of confusion for me was needing to install Pyrex, when I hadn't needed it for installs on my other laptops.

Much thanks!!
