* Update libimobiledevice to version 1.1.4

Is there a stable tarball for this version? This looks like a snapshot of a branch.

There isn't one yet. Should I wait until there's one?

Ok, will close this pull request until then.

Just for my understanding, what is the reason to avoid using a tag tarball directly from the git repository? This project just changed maintainers, so I'm wondering how soon will a new tarball be made available. And when it is, won't it be the same contents as the snapshot?

I also thought I could change the formula to stay on 1.0.7 but support --HEAD building, in which case it will satisfy the need to get 1.0.8'ish. However, this will not allow the building of libimobiledevice 1.1.4 (I guess I could just install --HEAD for both). If this is a good approach in the meantime I can create a new pull request.

Just trying to understand the right approach to maintaining brew formulas, it's my first time contributing. Thanks!

The snapshot is just a head URL by another name; the checksum will break as time goes on, and we can't reasonably guarantee that the software will build, causing us extra Issues.

Does this require the new usbmuxd? If not, it should be in a separate pull request.

Yeah, it requires usbmuxd 1.0.8.

Just added a new commit that adds a formula for ideviceinstaller.

This is the formula that prompted me to update the other formulas in the first place. It requires the latest libimobiledevice and usbmuxd.

@jlopez jlopez ideviceinstaller 1.0.1
* New formula for ideviceinstaller 1.0.1

Tested on Lion x64

These will have to be reopened with one formula per pull request. To do this, each needs to be in its own branch. Since there is no stable 1.0.8 release yet, they may have to wait until then.
