Existing checksum works for me:

$ brew fetch stanford-parser
==> Downloading http://nlp.stanford.edu/software/stanford-parser-2012-07-09.tgz
Already downloaded: /usr/local/homebrew-cache/stanford-parser-2.0.3.tgz
MD5:  015923f7b0865d4bf3bb3f7e627030ff
SHA1: d5c0ea5f974d0e2776321b1aaab85647c908dd51

@zeckalpha

I was worried as such. Any idea as to why? I consistently was getting the checksum in the patch from multiple locations.

@adamv

Did the download still compile?

@zeckalpha

Yes.

@adamv

Disturbing. I wonder what the diff between the uncompressed files is.

@zeckalpha

Can you try removing the cached file and refetching? I just did to no avail.

@zeckalpha

That's what I have, and what's in the formula. Did they update/change their tarball without changing the filename or is there something malevolent going on?

@zeckalpha

I'll look into this by contacting the upstream mailing list.

@adamv

Probably just a silent update

@zeckalpha

I sent an email to the parser-support email and this is the response I got.

The version labeled 2012-07-09 was actually updated on 2012-07-17 and
now has an md5sum of 9f6e22346e03a3cebb45865a005bbe4f I think that
what happened was someone wanted an extra module added to the sources,
although this change may also have been the result of a small bug fix
sneaking in,
