There are 37 patches for the current version of bash. Every attempt I have made to use the current formula in the last week has failed due to 503 errors on one of the mirrors (especially the uwaterloo one which Canadians hit a lot http://mirror.csclub.uwaterloo.ca/gnu/bash )
This commit vendors the patches for bash in the spirit of adamv's changes to readline which suffers similar issues with the same unreliable mirrors. See:
This approach works for me now, but an alternative approach would be to use the canonical gnu domain instead of the redirect domain and hope for the best.

I'm +1 for this, despite the size of the inline patch, for the reasons cited.
