This issue has been migrated from Redmine: https://dev.icinga.com/issues/10581

Created by dgoetz on 2015-11-09 13:24:27 +00:00

Assignee: mfriedrich
Status: Resolved (closed on 2016-03-21 20:00:04 +00:00)
Target Version: 2.4.8
Last Update: 2016-05-12 08:51:23 +00:00 (in Redmine)

Backport?: Not yet backported
Include in Changelog: 1

The icingacli from Icinga Web 2 can provide subcommands to use it as a monitoring plugin. For now the only released module providing this kind of check is the business process module, but I think we will see more coming.

My only concern atm is that "businessprocess" is a fairly generic name.

I'd rename all checks using the "icingacli-" prefix. "businessprocess" is just a specific sub command, similar to what we have with vmware CheckCommands for specific operations.
