This issue has been migrated from Redmine: https://dev.icinga.com/issues/11258

Created by tboston on 2016-02-29 09:35:17 +00:00

Assignee: mfriedrich
Status: Resolved (closed on 2016-03-24 18:18:55 +00:00)
Target Version: 2.4.5
Last Update: 2016-04-20 08:15:54 +00:00 (in Redmine)

Icinga Version: 2.4.3
Backport?: Already backported
Include in Changelog: 1

when we add the repo for Fedora 23 from http://packages.icinga.org/fedora/
It is being setup with a wrong BaseURL

What is being setup:
http://packages.icinga.org/epel/$releasever/release/

What it should be:
http://packages.icinga.org/fedora/23/release/ or similar

Not sure if other repos should be checked as well.

  • Category set to Packages

This affects all fedora versions.
We should add a .repo file for each of them, like with debian.

  • Status changed from New to Rejected

Nope, after reading a bit about yum there are environment variables set by yum. One of them is $releasever, and for some reason your system seems not to set it.

But this is not a bug with us

Wait no, I actually have no idea what I'm doing.

This is a bug with us, we pull the wrong repo

Also, we use DNF now instead of yum. I dont know if that does make a big difference but just so you know.

For some reason the icinga-rpm-release package contains the wrong repository files. The spec file inside the f23 branch is uptodate, but the package is not.

Has to be fixed before we release 2.4.5.

  • Subject changed from Fedora 23 Repo, wrong BaseURL to Fix wrong base url in icinga-rpm-release packages for Fedora
  • Status changed from Assigned to Resolved
  • Done % changed from 0 to 100

Fixed the package base url as well as the local gig key. You need to remove the faulty package and reinstall it. Tested it inside a f23 docker container, works fine.
