Setting up Ruby and Rails
- Install RVM
- Install Ruby 1.9.3:
rvm install 1.9.3
- Set it as default:
rvm use 1.9.3 --default
- Install bundler via
gem install bundler
- Currently it is using SQLite, so you need to have it installed
- This is preinstalled on Mac OS X as far as I know
Getting this application started
cdinto the repository you have checked out
bundleto install all dependencies
bundle exec rake db:migrateto setup the database
bundle exec rails server
- Now you have the application running on http://localhost:3000
The API is described in the wiki and tested with RSpec.
