The Industrial Data Space Information Model
The Information Model of the Industrial Data Space is an ontology that models the information which is provided and exchanged over the Industrial Data Space infrastructure. Development is led by Fraunhofer FIT and IAIS, with support by members of the International Data Spaces Association.
The model is developed on GitHub, following a defined branching model. Development makes use of the GitHub ticketing system under a defined workflow. The work on the information model is organized in the sub-working group 4 of the architecture working group of the Industrial Data Space Association.

codes: Code lists of enumerated literal values and unique, singleton concept instances. Code lists are the preferred way to encode and reference re-usable instances of a more or less homogeneous model.
examples: Example instances providing a guidance on recommended model usage and best practices
images: Figures that document the information model
metamodel: Utility models related to annotation and processing of
model: Core models split into sub-model directories each serving a particular modelling aspect.
references: Versioned source of external models used as a reference
taxonomies: Hierarchical arrangement of concepts (classes) extending a base concept defined by the core
model. Taxonomies are the preferred way to express concepts variants (sub-classes) for purposes of creating individual, custom instances.
testing: RDFUnit tests for the information model
utils: Scripts useful for information model development
views: Individual tailored views defined upon the overall model for a particular purpose.
Ontology.ttl: Detailed metadata of the Industrial Data Space Information Model.
For members of the International Data Spaces Association we provide additional resources:
A mapping of the information model to a Java class library. It is hosted as a Maven Artifact on a Nexus Repository, operated by Fraunhofer ISST. The library is intended to simplify development against the information model without in-depth knowledge of RDF ontologies.
A visualization of the informaton model's classes and properties, including cardinalities. It is available on the Nexus Repository mentioned above, under the same base path (visualization component).
A working document, on the association's Jive platform, explaining the usage of the information model for communication on the Industrial Data Space.
