I've tracked down some details and it looks like the DOS compilation used to be done using the "Intel C Code Builder", which was originally released in 1991.
I think this is the case due to the code that uses
stk.h
, which I think was specific to that compiler and its libraries.Much of the DOS code actually compiles with a 32 bit version of the Open Watcom compiler (!).
Has anyone tried building the DOS code in the last 20-25 years? What tools were used?
