I managed to make all those plug-ins optional in the installation (but they need to be installed to compile the code).
When JDT is not present and the user wants to run a test-suite, a message appears telling him or her to install it and pointing to the EclipseFP page. For web editors, a stack trace is shown if WST is not installed, but I haven't been able to make it better, as the editor itself inherits from a WST editor.

Why forbidding to run a test suite if we don't have JDT? We can still launch the test suite and have the output in the console, can't we? If we can't show the results in the nice JDT view, that's fine. It would mean non JDT users would not even know they're missing something, but hey, at least they could run the test suites.
