When I switch the page to background (which means the page is blur and another page is activated), the microphone doesn't work.
It's also easy to solve this issue temporarily: move this page to a new window, which only contains this page.

I am experiencing this issue as well, specifically Google Chrome. Switching to a different tab or minimizing the window causes the voice to trail off. The window does not need to be focused, but it has to be the active tab. This was replicated in Windows and macOS. So, the only way to solve this in Chrome is to have a separate Chrome window with mumble-web all the time.
For Firefox, this issue does not exist.
I would like to look at the source code and try to discover a solution. Do you have any intuition why this problem might be happening on Chrome, and what could be done to solve it?
