Should
Uninitializedbe exported? It does not seem necessary for the usageThere was a problem hiding this comment.

Uninitializedmust be exported, lest Julia not build :).There was a problem hiding this comment.

Why is that?

Uninitialized/uninitializedmust be visible everywhere uninitialized arrays are or will be constructed; these exports makeUninitialized/uninitializedvisible beyondCore. The build failure absent these exports comes from the definitions usingUninitialized/uninitializedinsysimg.jl. Does that clarify? :)There was a problem hiding this comment.

Though wouldn't it be possible to export only
uninitializedfrom Base (not Core)? ShouldUninitializedbe used outside of Base? There was a problem hiding this comment.

Uninitializedshould see use outside Base, yes, in definitions of constructors for uninitialized arrays generally (see #24595). Additionallyuninitializedis merely an alias forUninitialized(), and henceuninitializedcannot do its magic withoutUninitializedvisible. Does that clarify? :)
