@kreezxil Thanks for providing that much detailed info. We're investigating the issue, but probably it is already fixed in .22 of JC.

@kreezxil When exactly do these lagspikes occur? Any time a dinosaur moves?

@kreezxil

Basically we rely on the vanilla pathfinding as well. On top of that there is some additional computing stuff that our dinosaurs rely on to properly find their ways.

So here is a potential fix (could make things better OR worse), could you maybe test it out with the exact same setup as before?

"P.S": Be warned, that's an instable build - no production build.

Results of the instable build

Ok, I ran my server on the profiler for about 2 hours, pathfinding was not an issue this time, now it's metabolism, drinking of water.

@kreezxil It probably starts to annoy you, but if you could test the first .22 release candidate concerning the dinosaur AI performance, that would be perfect.

@kreezxil Apparently the test build was too unstable. I'm very sorry. Could you test it with this one here?

spark data, make sure to choose mcp 1.12.2 for the mapping

notes

  • still lots of lag
  • it should be noted that I'm spawning dinos into my overworld via the config which is how I want to use the mod
