KLayout stalls after replacing "nothing" by "something" in the macro editor

To reproduce this issue: in the macro editor use the "replace all" feature (top right search box, expand with right arrow button). Leave the search text empty and enter something in the replacement text. Then use "replace all". The process stalls.
