There is no option currently to enable a permissive mode. Furthermore, the test for odd diameter or width is performed before scaling. Hence saving with half the DBU is no workaround.
There are two suggestions regarding this issue:
- Perform the test after scaling, so scaling to half the DBU is an option
- Allow configuring the writer to become permissive (turn this hard error into warning)
