First off, sorry for bombarding you with bugs over the last 24 hours. We have a test site that was deployed as a subsite and we are not able to preview unpublished changes. FYI, we are also having troubles with the ShortUrlModule in this scenario as well. This is reproducible in the demo project.

Steps to Reproduce:

  • Edit the project settings per step 3 of this msdn article and change the project url to http://localhost/Cms.
  • Edit the following siteSettings int he web.config:
    • adminPath="/Cms/Admin/"
    • filePath="/Cms/Files/"
    • imageCachePath="/Cms/ImageCache/"
  • Run the application, login, and navigate to the "Admin" section
  • Create/Alter any page and click "Save Working Copy"
  • Click Preview
  • Bug -> Page Not Found -> Line 85 of the RequestModuleBase removes the "Cms" from the url which invalidates later logic to determine if this is a url to preview.
  • Click the Short Url LInk -> Bug -> Page Not Found
