Karumi logo Kata SuperHeroes with SpringBoot in Kotlin.

  • We are here to practice the usage of [SpringBoot].
  • We are going to use [Kotlin][kotlin].
  • We are going to practice pair programming.

Getting started

This repository contains an SpringBoot application.

Tasks

Your task as Spring Boot Developer is to *create a rest application. You will do so step by step and always using tests to verify everything is still working.

Our recommendation for this exercise is:

  • Before starting

    1. Fork this repository.
    2. Checkout master branch.
    3. Execute the application, see if it compiles and import correctly gradle dependencies.
  • Exercise

    1. Create a SuperHero, that contains an Id, a name and optionally a url to a photo.
    2. Create a Controller of SuperHero
    3. The controller should contains 3 endpoints
      • return a list of super heroes on /superhero
      • return a super hero by id on /superhero/{id}
      • receive a POST operation on /superhero
    4. Write tests of your SuperHero Controller using mockMVC
  • To verify the correct behavior of your code you can execute:

./gradlew ktlint test
