Result list does not properly disappear

When leaving Keypirinha with ESC twice sometimes the result list remains on the screen.
(Cannot always reproduce)
It also remains when clearing the text box with ESC.
Configuration:
always_on_top = yes
hide_on_focus_lost = immediate
retain_last_search = yes

Additonally, the maximized window does not disappear when returning to normal size (both are on the screen then)

I have a basic non-aero theme. I tried an aero theme and the problem is gone.
Because I have an old notebook I want to use a non-aero theme to increase the system performance (and I don't like the look of aero themes). KP is the only app on my sytem that shows problems with the window drawing with a non-aero theme.

• What's the value you have for the opacity_back setting?
• Does it happen as well when you disable always_on_top?

Also, if the opacity_back setting is less than 100 in your case, try changing it to 100 and check if you can still reproduce the issue.

Hi,

I was able to reproduce the problem on W7 64bits with "Windows Basic" theme. I've never seen the problem with aero.
Nvidia video card with driver 381.65.

Problems seems only with the result windows and it is also happening with the default theme.
Always on Top is not define so it is at default value -> "#Always On Top = no"

With the desktop in the background.

Thanks for that. It seems to be a Win7-related issue since I failed to reproduce it on a Win8, Win8.1 and Win10. I will see if I can find a workaround.

What is the difference between the result lists of KP and of Launchy? With Launchy the problem does not happen.

I managed to reproduce it after having enabled Windows' Basic theme. Worse, if you try to drag the window around using the satellite icon, the window just disappear or more exactly, it is not re-painted.

I'm not sure why this happens since there is no special trickery involved. This requires more digging.

However, I've noticed that if you enable Keypirinha's transparency mode (i.e. opacity_back less than 100), the issue vanishes. So as a workaround, just try to set opacity_back = 99 if your setting was opacity_back = 100.
