I'm not sure how to associate a keyword that doesn't have the letters of the command (so, it wouldn't appear at first when I type the keyword).
For example, I'd like to associate atab (as a short for "alt-tab") keyword to Switch to... command, but without explicitly specifying this in some config file I'm not sure how to make atab show Switch to... in the search list so that I can execute it and make Keypirinha do its magic and remember this binding.
Is it possible to specify this association of atab to Switch to... somewhere manually?

In this specific case (i.e. Switch To), it's not configurable but easily doable by changing a single line of the TaskSwitcher plugin source code. Search for the LABEL_PREFIX = "Switch To" line and replace it by something like LABEL_PREFIX = "AltTab" (do NOT change the KEYWORD constant though). Your items will be prefixed with AltTab after this modification.

This works, thanks
Is there a chance you could change it in the master LABEL_PREFIX = "Switch To (AltTab)" (this way it doesn't break in any way the existing user habits, but also allows alt-tab references in keywords?
Or if you want a universal solution for every addon, add an option to read user-defined variables to replace this prefix :)
Thank you

An option is the way to go as it's more a matter of personal preference. Exactly like the label settings of the PuTTY package for example.

TaskSwitcher package now supports an item_label setting (v2.5.6).

Thank you, win (Alt-Tab, Switch To) covers all the bases before I settle on the most convenient option :)
