Installation and Running

Pre-Requisites

Crydoex is a java application and is distributed as a JAR file. You must have at least Java 7 runtime system installed for your platform in order to use Cryodex. To see if you have Java already installed please follow the instructions at the following page:

If you do not have Java installed you can download and install the runtime from the following page:

http://www.java.com/en/download/

Once you have downloaded and install Java, follow the verification instructions to make sure everything is working.

Windows

  1. Open the Windows Explorer and locate the Cryodex.jar
  2. Double click the Cryodex.jar this should launch the application.

If the above does not work then try the following:

  1. Open a command prompt.
  2. Change to the directory that you have downloaded Cryodex.jar.
  3. At the command prompt type: java -jar Cryodex.jar

Mac OSX and Linux

  1. Open a terminal.
  2. Change to the directory that you have downloaded Cryodex.jar.
  3. At the command prompt type: java -jar Cryodex.jar
