Maybe the first screen is a HTML file but the second one is a HTML5 file?

Or any number of other languages that highlight HTML. @babobski can you verify that both are using the same language and both are the same version of Komodo?

Okay, I've reproduced the issue as well using HTML5 file type with the following code:

<!doctype html>
<html lang="en">
<head>
    <meta charset="UTF-8">
    <title>Document</title>
</head>
<body>

</body>
</html>

The colors looks exactly as in the header of the issue.

fix: color schemes: Ensure consistency in applying color schemes - fixes
 #730

Iterating over keys in a dictionary is not ordered.
Consider HTML5's "attribute value" and "strings" styles. Both are mapped to
SCE_UDL_M_STRING. However, if "attribute value" has a different font color than
"strings", then the order in which they are read ultimately affects the style
of SCE_UDL_M_STRING.
