DAVdroid (by @rfc2822 ) doesn't seem to be able to discover / list collections any more. I believe this began with 0.9 (I'm running arch on my server - 0.9 was pushed out on 2014-08-19).

The sync itself works fine - both on another android device on which DAVdroid was set up prior to 0.9 and with other clients (thunderbird-ical+sogo and aCal on android).

This might be related to Issue #196, But I don't understand enough to be certain.

Please advise - I can't sync my calendar / contacts with phone until this is addressed.

I can post debug logs if that will help.

Thanks

If issue #196 is the same thing then i think #198 would fix the issue. Could you try it? (Although i am very certain that it is going to work)

I can confirm that #198 works. DAVdroid is now able to list the resources and sync them.

@liZe Would it be possible to add a switch in the config that would change the behavior of radicale's content discovery to this (#198)? It could be 'off' by default. That way, it would be possible for those of us with no ios devices to easily use radicale while still keeping the (current) default behavior intact.

Debugging this very same issue, I stumble upon the fact that Radicale 0.9 must be configured with [rights] type = None for Evolution 3.4.4 to work. Just upgrading from Radicale 0.8 to 0.9 with unchanged Evolution settings, Evolution is simply autenticated as "Anonymous", leading to no access to cal/card. I had to upgrade from 0.8 to 0.9 because DAVDroid 0.6.2 couldn't discover collections with .well-known URIs which 0.8 didn't handle. DAVDroid stil doesn't display what it apparently properly discovered (as the Radicale logs show).
On Radicale side, I guess the problems are now :

  1. breaks Evolution 3.4.4 authentication with previously worked
  2. probably also breaks DAVDroid authentication
  3. do not provide displayname XML info, regardless of my adding '{"D:displayname": "something", ...' in nhuillard/addressbook.vcf.props (I was wondering if that could make DAVDroid happy with something to display)

@nhuillard:
Is auto discovery with DavDroid working for you after the switch to radicale 0.9-x?

As far as I can tell, DavDroid authticates fine but does not list my calendars or contacts without @untitaker's patch

Auto-discovery in DAVDroid works with Radicale 0.9 and unitaker's patch (https://github.com/Kozea/Radicale/pull/198/files), even displaying my '{"D:displayname": "something", ...' tweaks.
It's currently sync'ing, and without permission control at all on Radicale side (for Evolution to work). I'll try various settings to see if everything is OK.

Fixing #126 is the first step to solve this correctly.

Even with #198 applied I can't get any collections. But it works with Thunderbird.

I also don't see any of my collections in DAVDroid, though I'm able to sync my calendar just fine in Thunderbird and Evolution.

@erhan- do you have the problem with the git version? Do you have something interesting in the logs?
