Describe the bug
https://www.kunena.org/forum/k5-1-support/153445-problems-with-pdf

To Reproduce

  1. Set in the configuration -> Uploads Protect Attachments = No
  2. Upload a pdf and insert in the message
  3. Now set in the configuration -> Uploads Protect Attachments = Yes
  4. Upload again a pdf and insert in the message

Expected behavior
The pdfs should be displayed

Actual result
The result is browser related. Some browsers show only a empty message field, other browsers show "This browser does not support PDFs. Please download the PDF to view it: Download PDF. "

  1. Set again in the configuration -> Uploads Protect Attachments = No
  2. Check in the frontend the result with different browsers, the protected pdfs will not displayed.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • Tested with Chromium, Firefox and Opera

Additional context
In principle you can't use the option Protect Attachments otherwise you get a trouble with some browsers.
