Сonvenient programmer for work with mc56f80xx DSC, at the same time me and my friend practicing writing in Rust

This code is modified and re-writed in Rust little part of usbdm pjt, original project is here : Original USBDM project.

screen

Target - USBDM/JMxx version, supporting DSC, FW version minimal 4.12.1 (BDM Firmware Ver)

Testing status

DSC Tested Read Write/Erase
MC56F8002
MC56F8006 ✔️ ✔️ ✔️
MC56F8011
MC56F8013 ✔️ ✔️ ✔️
MC56F8025 ✔️ ✔️ ✔️
MC56F8035 ✔️ ✔️ ✔️

If you have tested any of the targets that we did not test, please let us know in the discussion or in the issues if there are any problems.

Motivation

The original project does not support reading the controller. This is the underlying reason. Little things associated with the inconvenience of management. Initially, the goal is to work comfortably with the mc56f in Rust. Working via USBDM on mc56f dsp controllers is rather inconvenient, and original the project itself is too large to simply fix something.

Build

OpenGL : cargo run --release --features iced/glow or WGPU cargo run --release

In plan

  • Made HexBuffer interactive, copying data, addressing etc.
  • Made TargetProgramming actions (read, write, erase) async and bind with iced subscribtion

Done now

  • low level USB interface
  • base USBDM commands (set_target, set_vdd etc.)
  • Settings module (Set Usbdm Options)
  • Feedback module (Get status and parse bits)
  • Capabilites (Get BDM Information, like JTAG buffer size etc, parse bytes & save)
  • Jtag Command Builder
  • Concrete mc56f (target) commands - read
  • Concrete mc56f (target) command: - Connect, tested
  • GUI - hex-buffer, download-upload binary
  • S19 loader, parser, converter from bin (open) and to bin (open & save as binary) we do specifically for format s19 from usbdm, s325
  • Make target_factory from yaml file with parameters
  • Concrete mc56f (target) commands - write, erase
