GUI Configuator FAQ

Graphical Configurator For Keyboard

(In order of frequency. Paraphrased of course)

Note: All of these questions can be done (answered?) via the QMK source. See FAQ Lights and FAQ Can I via QMK... pages for some code

"Is there a way to re-arrange the default led patterns"
Currently, no

"Is there a way to add or remove a led pattern"
Currently, no

"Is there a way to delete a configuration in the configurator?"
Currently, no

"Is there a way to share a configuration from the configurator?"
Currently, no

"Can I change the capslock color?"
Currently, no. See the Interesting Finds page for how to do this with source code.

"Can I cycle though custom key-by-key set LEDS like patterns?"
Yes, but now how you'd think. See my answer about this question on the FAQ Lights Page

"Can I change the what key lights up when I hit caplock?"
Currently, no. See the Interesting Finds page for how to do this with source code.

"Is there a way to do macros?"
(actually this isn't frequent at all, however I'm sure some body is curious)
Currently, no.

"What does U_T_AUTO and U_T_AGCR Mean?
It has to do with USB voltages.

is one of the many times it's been discussed. At one point in time I spelunked pretty far down to figure out exactly what they did, and I came up empty. TL;DR: Don't mess with them, and if you really need those keys for something you're probably pretty safe deleting them.
"Fun fact" For those keys to do anything, you actually have to hold down FN+CTRL+SHIFT+<assigned key. This definitely lends credence to "don't mess with it".

"Can I toggle NKRO by default?"
(actually this isn't frequent at all, however I'm sure some body is curious)
Currently, no, and oddly enough, while the GUI presets a key with NKRO toggle, you can't use the GUI to set another to NKRO toggle (wut???)

"How do I use this?" A video would better explain it. I'll work on it.

You can’t perform that action at this time.
