Trying to render a L.TileLayer with opacity in IE7 fails

If you try to render a tilelayer with opacity in IE7 doesn't appear. After some research seems like the filter css property is damaging the layer. If you remove this property the layer appears correctly (with no opacity of course).

Not sure why it makes the tiles disappear though!

If you set the opacity filter on the tiles themselves it works correctly

Quite weird, just figured out that I added filter: inherit to tiles a long time ago (#90) to fix the issue of opacity not applying to tiles. Dave, it doesn't work but explicit filter on tiles does, right?

I had a big play around and the only way I got it to work was specifying the filter on the tiles, inherit didn't work, no idea why.
Does work in >7 iirc.
Might be worth a dive through history to see if this ever worked in ie7, will do after lunch.

Okay, opacity for TileLayer doesn't appear to have ever worked for IE7 (didn't find it in my bisect if it did once), but it didn't used to cause them to disappear.
In 6142a8b TileLayers started disappearing when opacity was applied.

If you remove .leaflet-layer from the position:absolute style (first style block in leaflet.css) it fixes it but breaks z-indexing.
We probably need to change ie7 to do per-tile opacity, or not set the filter at all on ie7.
You can use tests/bringtoback.html to show the z-index breakage.

It seems that this bug wasn't fixed for IE7 because IE7 doesn't support inherit value for any properties other than direction and visibility. http://coding.smashingmagazine.com/2009/10/14/css-differences-in-internet-explorer-6-7-and-8/
