Leaflet 0.7 tiles disappear in Android 2.3 browser?

I'm seeing some strange behavior with the latest version of Leaflet on the stock browser in Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). On initial loading of a Leaflet map, the tiles sometimes show properly, but sometimes show and then immediately disappear. If they do show, they disappear or come and go as you pan around the map.

After clicking the zoom in/out buttons, the problem seems to go away and behavior returns to normal.

Anybody else notice this? Could it be related to that backface visibility stuff?

I know the feeling.

I tried disabling the fix that sets WebkitBackfaceVisibility to hidden in DomUtil and TileLayer, and that does appear to make things work correctly in the 2.3 browser. However, I don't know what the right check would be in that if statement in order to only target the problem browsers.

OK, the original issue was reported for Chrome for Android 4, so we could probably narrow it down in the code for that. Thoughts @danzel?

Maybe it's time to drop android 2x? And ie7 too. At least for refactoring in version 0.8
No body cares about them :)

@klimashkin unfortunately, many people still do care. Android 2 share among all Androids is about 30% which is a lot, and IE7 support is required in many governments.

I've pulled out my android 2 device to test tomorrow.
@RungKutta what device does this occur on? Does it happen in the emulator?

@danzel, my Android 2 test device is an HTC Evo. I have not tried the emulator yet

I've tested in the emulator and see the same behavior as on the device. Again, it seems like everything starts working normally after zooming in the first time, which is a bit strange.

Sent a PR that totally disables 3d transforms on old android.
Doesn't seem to hurt performance and fixes this issue.
